CEP and Meal Pricing

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

Chapel Hill ISD is proud to announce that all campuses within the district will participate in the Community Eligible Provision (CEP) for the 2025-2026 school year. This means all students will receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of household income. CEP is a federally funded option available through the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. It eliminates the need for families to submit meal applications and removes the traditional tiered system of free, reduced-price, or paid meals. Instead, every student is eligible for nutritious meals at no charge. “This initiative reduces the burden on families and ensures all students have access to the food they need to thrive academically,” said Jaime Swanson, Director of Child Nutrition for Chapel Hill ISD. “Our goal is to remove barriers and support student success, and CEP allows us to do just that.” The CEP program is part of a broader effort to promote student well-being and increase access to healthy meals in schools. By streamlining the meal process, the district can focus on serving quality meals without the administrative challenges of income verification. For additional information regarding the Community Eligibility Provision at Chapel Hill ISD, please contact: Jaime Swanson Child Nutrition Director Chapel Hill ISD – Child Nutrition Services 10777 CR 210, Tyler, TX 75707 (903) 566-2441 ext. 1675 swansonj@chapelhillisd.org
