Parent & Family Engagement
Engage, Educate, and Empower
Our Mission
The mission of the CHISD Parent and Family Engagement Team is to engage, educate, and empower families, the community, and school staff with resources and partnerships that foster the academic and personal growth of ALL students.
Our Vision
Our vision is to cultivate a dynamic partnership among parents, families, the community, and school staff within CHISD to create a supportive network that champions the academic and personal growth of every student.
Our Goals
Our Parent and Family Engagement Program aims to:
- Strengthen Family-School Collaboration
- Foster a Supportive Network for Student Success
- Cultivate Inclusive Community Partnerships
Parent and Family Engagement Connection
The Handle with Care Program is dedicated to fostering a supportive and compassionate school environment by ensuring that staff are informed of and responsive to the unique challenges faced by students due to external circumstances. Our mission is to promote open communication between parents and school staff, allowing for the mindful and empathetic handling of each child’s needs. Through this initiative, we aim to create a nurturing atmosphere where every student feels understood, valued, and supported, empowering them to thrive both academically and emotionally.

CHISD Parents
Become a Watch DOGS Parent
CHISD parents, we invite you to join us as a Watch DOG Parent!
The National Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program is designed to engage fathers and other role models in their children's education and school community. By volunteering their time, these role models enhance school safety, provide positive mentorship, and foster a stronger connection between families and schools. The program aims to inspire students, promote a sense of belonging, and create a collaborative environment where parents actively support their children's learning and development.
DON'T BE THE LAST TO SIGN UP! GET INVOLVED TODAY!!
