Out of an abundance of caution and to support safe travel, all CHISD schools will begin classes with a two-hour delay on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
Classes will begin at the following times:
High School: 10:05 a.m.
Junior High: 10:05 a.m.
Kissam Intermediate: 9:50 a.m.
Wise Elementary: 9:45 a.m.
Jackson Elementary: 9:45 a.m.
Additionally, please note that school buses will also be running two hours behind their normal pick-up schedule. Please be aware that the road conditions may cause a slight delay in school bus pick-up times.
Due to inclement weather, all campuses will be closed on Tuesday, January 16. An update on Wednesday's schedule will be provided by 6 pm tomorrow, Tuesday. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
Monday, Jan. 15, is a district-wide holiday in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr. Classes resume on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

GT Screening season has arrived!
Parents/guardians, please complete the nomination form for kindergarteners by January 15th or by April 19th for 1st-3rd grade to be considered by the screening committee for the 2023-2024 school year.
