The Chapel Hill ISD Bulldog Band will be competing at the UIL State Military Marching Contest on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
“I am extremely proud of our students, and their countless hours of work building up to this competition. I know that no matter the results, they have done their best, and that is all we can ask of our students,” Band Director Joseph Hewitt said.
On October 15, the Band competed at the Region 21 UIL Marching Competition in Longview, Texas.The band marched a precision military drill to earn a first division from all three judges at the contest.
In earning a first division, the band qualified to participate in the UIL State Military Marching Contest on Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Waco, Texas at the Baylor University McLane Stadium. The band will be marching at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, and will be competing against 13 other 4A classification bands.
If the band does well enough to earn a spot in the top five bands, they will march again that evening in the finals.
