Jackson Elementary School gifted and talented students, as well as students who are participating in Oral Reading and Storytelling UIL events will be attending the Region 7 Imagination Fair in Kilgore, TX.
“Our students are very excited to participate in the storytelling event at Region 7. This event is a great opportunity to provide our students with unique experiences and allows them to engage in a creative outlet that they might not be familiar with, and could possibly become a passion for them,” said Media Technology Specialist Kari Noland.
The Imagination Fair offers an interactive platform for exceptionally talented students in grades 1 to 6 to display their storytelling abilities. In preparation for this event, these young participants delve into a wide array of storytelling styles and genres, explore narratives from diverse cultures, and gain insights into the historical significance of storytelling. Subsequently, they have the choice to either select a pre-existing story or craft an original one to share at the Imagination Fair. To kickstart the day's activities, a seasoned storyteller will commence with engaging and interactive tales.
