Jackson Elementary will host the Scholastic Book Fair 9/18-9/22 in the Jackson Elementary Library to provide everyone an opportunity to own a piece of literature and expand their minds. Students will be allowed to purchase items from the book fair during their library time. Scholastic is also offering an opportunity for ewallet, where parents can add funds for students to spend without the concern of carrying cash or students spending more than the parent desires. A portion of the proceeds will go back into literature for classrooms.
“Encouraging literacy is essential to decreasing poverty and improving health. Better readers leads to improved citizenship in our community. Jackson students are already well on their way to greatness, but we want to provide every opportunity to empower students to succeed,” said Media Technology Specialist Kari Noland.
Book fairs create a lasting impact on everyone, with that excitement and joy of being able to shop for the books that are important to you, as well as the knowledge that the book is yours to keep forever.
