Chapel Hill, Smith County, TX - Chapel Hill Independent School District is thrilled to announce the launch of its Chapel Hill Accreditation & More Program (C.H.A.M.P.), which offers three unique pathways to teacher certification. The program empowers aspiring teachers with the experiences, education, and opportunities necessary to succeed in the classroom.
"We are excited to launch this innovative program that will allow our students and employees to pursue their passion for teaching while also providing them with the necessary training and support to succeed," said Dr. Joshua Tremont, executive director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
The program offers a comprehensive approach to teacher certification, providing participants with practical classroom experience, mentorship from experienced educators, and coursework tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, the program’s flexibility allows participants to continue working while pursuing their certification. To be eligible for the program, applicants must either be a Chapel Hill High School senior or a current district employee.
"We believe that this program will not only help us meet the growing demand for qualified teachers but will also serve as a valuable resource for our students and employees," added Dr. Tremont.
