Update: All schools now have electricity and classes are running at their normal schedule. We are pleased to be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for our students to learn and grow.

Classes at Wise Elementary have been canceled for today, Feb. 3, due to the ongoing power outage. All other CHISD campuses will remain open and classes will run at their normal times.

Classes and extracurricular activities for all campuses except Wise Elementary will resume on Friday, Feb. 3, as scheduled. Wise Elementary families will need to wait until 6 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, for an update on the status of their campus.

Several district facilities continue without power. The district will be communicating at 7 p.m. today, Feb. 2, with the latest information on how the power outage will impact school operations tomorrow, Feb. 3.

Chapel Hill high school celebrates Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. History.


UPDATE: Due to the weather events causing schools to close this week the FCA student and faculty breakfast has been move from Friday, February 3rd to Friday, February 10th. We hope to see you there.

Out of an abundance of caution and to support safe travel, all CHISD schools will begin classes with a two-hour delay on Thursday, Feb. 2.
