Free Public Fine Arts Show 2023: Celebrating Creativity and Chapel Hill Talent
Chapel Hill, Smith County - The Chapel Hill Independent School District is pleased to announce its annual Fine Arts Show, showcasing the extraordinary artistic talent of its students. The event will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at Chapel Hill High School, and is free and open to the public.
"We are excited to showcase the incredible creativity and talent of our students at this year's Fine Arts Show," said Fine Arts Director Joe Hewitt. "We invite everyone in the community to come out and support our students, and enjoy a night of art, music, food, and entertainment."
The Fine Arts Show is a celebration of the work created by students from Chapel Hill High School, Junior High, Jackson Elementary, Kissam Intermediate, and Wise Elementary. The event will feature 2D and 3D art pieces from every campus, as well as student choir performances throughout the show. In addition, attendees will be treated to hors d'oeuvres proudly provided by the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Culinary Arts class.
The art show will also include several activities for attendees to enjoy, including face painting, scratchboard stencil designs, jewelry making, Spanish flower origami, and 2023 mural banner painting.
The highlight of the evening will be a play by Bryan Taylor, entitled "The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery," presented by the Theatre Department from 7pm to 8:30pm. Tickets for the play are $5 per person and will be available for purchase at the event.
