Tyler, Texas — Chapel Hill Independent School District proudly announces a significant leadership transition within its administrative team. Matthew Strode, Principal of Chapel Hill High School, will be assuming the role of Assistant Superintendent, effective July 1, 2024.
With five years of dedicated service to the district, Mr. Strode has continually demonstrated a deep commitment to educational excellence and student success. Throughout his tenure as Principal of Chapel Hill High School, he has implemented innovative programs, fostered a culture of collaboration and advocated for the academic and personal growth of every student.
"I am immensely grateful for the trust and support extended to me by Chapel Hill ISD as I transition into the role of Assistant Superintendent. I am deeply appreciative of the opportunity to contribute to our district's continued success and am eager to collaborate with our dedicated team in serving our students, staff, and community," said Strode.
Superintendent Dean expressed confidence in Mr. Strode's ability to excel in his new role, stating, "Mr. Strode’s experience as a successful administrator in Chapel Hill ISD will serve him well in his new role of supporting principals, directors and coordinators in the district. In addition, he will oversee district programs such as Alternative Education, CTE, Operations and initiatives adopted by the district.
