Chapel Hill, TX - Chapel Hill, TX - Over 200 Freshman Academy students from Chapel Hill High School received a tour of Tyler Junior College (TJC) campus as part of their Freshman Academy curriculum on Wednesday, April 26. Led by TJC faculty and staff, the tour provided students with a valuable experience to learn about higher education and set goals for their future.
"We are thrilled to provide our Freshman Academy students with the opportunity to visit TJC and explore the college campus," said Dr. Tremont, Executive Director of Curriculum at Chapel Hill Independent School District.
The tour was a significant step in the school's commitment to preparing students for success beyond high school. As part of the Academies of Chapel Hill ISD, students are exposed to college campuses early on to ignite their curiosity, encourage them to explore their interests, and plan their career paths.
During the tour, students interacted with TJC faculty who shared insights about the wide range of academic programs offered at the college, as well as the resources and support available to students. They also learned about the admissions process, financial aid options, and student life at TJC, giving them a glimpse into the college experience and potential future career paths.
