Mrs. James studied Criminal Justice at Tyler Junior College and attended the Kilgore Police Academy where she received her Peace Officers License.

Mrs. James has been with Chapel Hill ISD since 1997.

Mrs. James has two children. Her daughter graduated from Chapel Hill in 2010 and her son will graduate in 2024.
