What is SHAC?
In May 2001, the legislature passed Senate Bill 19. It required each school district to implement a Coordinated School Health Program and to establish a School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) to make recommendations regarding that program. The SHAC must consist of community members, students, school personnel and at least 50% parents of current students.

What a wonderful way for you as a parent to gain insight into the resources available at your child's school, and to have the opportunity to be involved in a very positive way.
